Quick Setup Camera tethering Eye-Fi X2 Pro to Ipad Instant Wireless Transfer for my Canon 5D Mark ii
2 Comments »This Quick Tutorial is for someone who want transfer their images from camera to ipad / ipad 2 / iphone.
My reason for doing this is for my customer to preview my pictures instantly. Instead of looking it up from my tiny screen on my camera, now they can take advantage of the big Apple iPad / iPad 2 screen.
First, assume you have a camera and a jailbroken ipad/iphone, you still need the following:
- Eye-Fi SD Card (both non X2 and X2 works) Pro version is perfer allow to work without Wi-fi situation.
- SDHC support CF card adaptor if your camera take CF card instead of SD
- jailbroken ipad/iphone with “MyWi 4.0″ apps from Cydia and “shuttersnitch” from Apple apps store
So Here you go: (need a wireless connection area with a computer to setup at the very first time)
1. unwrap your Eye-fi X2 SD card, insert it to the USB adaptor that come with it and plug it to your computer.
Then install their software, software can be found inside the Eye-fi card.
Then Eye-fi will ask you to create an account, yes you need to register ! (Check your email to comfirm the registion before you move on)!!!!
2. Install MyWi 4.0 from an jailbreak ipad/iphone, under Cydia you need to purchase it.
3. Then turn on the Wi-fi hotsport at MyWi 4.0 (I didn’t try 3.0 or 2.0 but i think it may work as well)
4. Go back to your computer with the Eye-fi software and select the ipad/iphone wireless device that you just create using MyWi.
Go and add the ipad/iphone to the profile.
5. Back to your ipad/iphone and install shuttersnitch from apps store (yes you need to buy it or maybe try installous?)
Now, turn off your MyWi wi-fi hotspot and turn on your wi-fi network to access the internet) on your iphone/ipad!
Open the shuttersnitch and go to options –> Set up Eye-Fi access (type the account you have created on your computer).
6. Then you should be able to get to the following screen, yes your card is found and turn it on!
Then you are almost done!
–> Turn on MyWi 4.0 wi-fi hotsport on you iphone/ipad you don’t need the regular wi-fi signal from this point, yes take it out on the street now…
–> Put the Eye-Fi SD card (with adaptor if you use CF) to your camera
–> Turn on shuttersnatch apps while leave the MyWi hotspot on
–> Take a picture and wait for 3-5 sec, wala.. your picture show in ipad/iphone, work for a great distance too.. as long as the wi-fi signal is acceptable…
Today came across that i need to convert a print catalog to a digital PDF catalog in Indesign, however find out that Indesign export function only can export two pages in one sheet in PDF.

Find out someone had wrote a Indesign scripts call “Page Exporter Utility” and you can download it from Adobe site here: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&extid=1254518&PID=4169666#
I tried and it works perfectly

After you download the script, unzip and put the .jsx script at your Adobe indesign’s script folder. Restart your Indesign and you can use the script.

After Yahoo and MSN keyword search merged in November 2010, Microsoft adCenter became the second largest paid search program behind Google adwords.
Like many of us are using Google Analytics to track visitors behavor and they don’t have MSN adcenter tracking info for you, so you need to do some tricks in order to make your life easier.
1. You need to use Google URL Builder , make sure you get the Campaign Source as i put “MSN” and Medium as i put “cpc” correct and your original Website URL correctly.
Then click Generate URL.

2. Copy the URL from Google URL bulider and then go to MSN adCenter and past the link at your compaigns.

3. Wait at least 48 hours, if someone come from MSN adCenter then will see it on Google analytics.

If you have install WinMail.exe Windows Mail from Vista to Windows 7, you may have trouble opening it after the recent windows update from 5/11/10
You clearly will see WinMail.exe running from task manager but it won’t open up the program.
The fix: download the msoe.dll file and replace it from the folder.
Where to download? try here
It works for me.
